This YouTuber looked at how Boeing, Airbus, and other airliners get on when they’re fitted with the world’s most powerful jet engine, and the results are crazy.
The GE9X is the most powerful commercial jet engine ever built, and creators have started attaching it to aircraft that were never meant to handle it.
The engine is so large that its fan diameter is wider than a whole Boeing-737 fuselage, which already turns every test into a wild setup.
Once the engine powers up, the planes react with violent reactions and almost no ability to fly slowly.

The GE9X in its natural habitat
The Boeing 777X is the only airplane designed for the GE9X jet engine, but when this super powerful engine is mounted on other planes, things get crazy.
When the jet engine was put on a Boeing 737 in this YouTuber’s simulator, the thrust overwhelmed the plane instantly.
Even with the brakes on, the plane surged forward, lifted almost vertically, and struggled to slow down because even the idle thrust was too strong for controlled approaches.

Reverse thrust became the only way to land, and the stopping power was so intense that short runways became easy targets.
Other Airbus models behaved the same way once they were fitted with the overly powerful jet engine while burning through fuel at extreme rates and being difficult to control.

How other airliners get on with the most powerful jet engine
The Boeing 747-8 came closest to handling the power of the jet engine, because two GE9X engines nearly equal the thrust of the engines it currently has.
The jumbo jet took off with ease and climbed really well, although the engine placement sat too low – low enough to risk crashing it into the ground.
The powerful jet engine does transform all the plane types, but is almost too powerful, making them too fast and difficult to control.
