A Jeep pickup truck, the J10 Golden Eagle, was once built in collaboration with Levi’s, but it’s now become a forgotten vehicle from the American company’s range.
In the 1970s, pickup trucks were slowly beginning to be more and more popular, despite the United States shifting more towards smaller, more economical vehicles in general.
Several special edition models were released, and Jeep came up with one of them, which was the Jeep J10 Golden Eagle, developed in collaboration with Levi’s.
The pickup truck had quite a striking design, and it certainly would have grabbed attention; however, it seems to have been largely forgotten since then.

The details behind the Levi’s Jeep pickup truck
The Jeep J10 Golden Eagle was similar to the Dodge Li’l Red Express and Dodge Macho Power Wagon.
However, while both were quite brazen and outlandish, the Jeep J10 was more reserved than its rival trucks.
The party piece for the Golden Eagle was that it had a very stylish and refined design, courtesy of Jeep’s collaboration with a popular clothes brand..
Jeep had collaborated with Levi’s, one of the most popular manufacturers of blue jeans and denim products in the USA.

Levi’s was given the task of designing the seat and door trim, while Jeep came up with the exterior colors.
The interior was trimmed in denim or vinyl from the Levi’s factory, including the company’s upholstery buttons and stitching.
In addition, the seats and trim could be ordered in tan or blue as well.
Jeep had full control over the exterior of the pickup truck
The trucks were mostly finished in brown; however, there was also a range of other colors available.
These included cream, tan, copper, black, maroon, red, orange, and green.
In the end, every J10 Golden Eagle came in a golden two-tone design scheme.
To denote its exclusivity, Golden Eagle badging was placed along the bottom of both front doors.
A Levi’s badge was also present, just behind the front wheels.

Under the hood was a range of engines, ranging from a 258ci straight-six to a 401ci V8.
Jeep didn’t make many Golden Eagles, and the rarity shows.
Classic.com has shown some sold for as high as $60,000, while some have sold for as little as $10,000.
While $60,000 is a lot, it’s not every day you get to own a Jeep pickup truck designed in collaboration with a jeans manufacturer.
