Meet the Toyota e-Palette, the $200,000 EV that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie.

The unique design and advanced special features are a next-level release from the manufacturer, which already has impressive EVs operating within its fleet.

Plus, the automated element could be game-changing.

But it’s not the only impressive release from the car giant this year.

This Toyota e-Palette is a unique autonomous EV

When it comes to releasing cars, this car brand knows its stuff.

From everyday drivers to SUVs and affordable EVs, the brand’s creativity knows no bounds.

You’re used to seeing standard sedans, but this new release brings a whole new look to EVs.

But now, it’s all about the e-Palette.

“It is designed not only as a means of transportation, but also to support a variety of mobility services with a single vehicle, such as a mobile store or service space,” stated the company in a press release.

The unique EV allows increased mobility through multi-use apps, advanced equipment, the design itself, and charging and power supply.

The shape of the Toyota includes ‘low floor and wide sliding doors’, which means the EV is quick to enter and exit, with an electric ramp and optional equipment.

Plus, forget the standard driving experience, the Toyota e-Palette has a special Steer-by-Wire System that reduces steering input. The safety features are next-level too, with the addition of ‘safe-exit assistance’.

There’s a powerhouse hidden beneath the hood thanks to the 72.82 kWh battery that can recharge to 80 percent in a time of 40 minutes.

The e-Palette will be introduced in the Toyota Arena in Tokyo alongside Toyota Woven City, ‘where it will be used for transportation services and as a mobile store for various goods, among other initiatives’.

Orders for the unique EV opened on September 15, with Toyota later stating a press release that it is built to order, with the company only accepting orders directly for the time being.

The brand is also set to conduct demonstrations of automated driving in action in a collaboration with different partners and municipalities, with 2027 being the aim for the launch of vehicles with Level four abilities.

Toyota is the gift that keeps on giving this year

Thanks to the car manufacturer’s clever engineering and design plans, 2025 has seen some impressive moves made in terms of vehicle releases.

For example, Toyota is reportedly set to build two new EVs in Kentucky based on the Land Cruiser and RAV4.

Plus, if that wasn’t enough, you can take a look at the new flagship EV called the bZ7 that comes with an abundance of advanced tech elements.

The new e-Palette has an MRSP of $197,000 (29,000,000 yen), and it is also available for a government subsidy in Japan.
