A trio of new supercars has just been dropped by Toyota, closing the year with a striking new performance trident.
Working in tandem, Lexus and Toyota have been hard at work producing the next wave of supercars from its factories in Japan.
With many series to choose from to improve, Toyota has now announced three new supercars based on existing models.
Ending the year on a high, the Lexus LFA is back and louder than ever, while the GR GT is a pivot away from anything we’ve seen from Toyota before, and its race-ready GR GT3 takes things even further.

Toyota drops two new twin supercars
Having dropped the initial teasers of its new supercar in late November, Toyota ramped up the anticipation of the reveal by posting pictures of a trio of smooth-topped supercars.
Now, the mystery cars have been announced.
The Toyota GR GT and GR GT3 were both announced back in 2022 at the Tokyo Auto Salon homestand, and have been quietly ticking over on the factory floor ever since.
In today’s supercar news, the Toyota duo has been showcased by the Japanese brand, and they’re both stunning.

Named after the Gazoo Racing division, the GR GT is its answer to the mid-engine supercar players, featuring a hybrid 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 under the hood, boasting 641 hp.
Built to impress on the aerodynamics front, the GR GT has a very non-traditional look for Toyota supercars, as the brand chases superior performance.
Over on the FIA-approved GR GT3 side of things, the race-ready modifications include a huge rear-wing spoiler.
The legendary Lexus LFA is back and louder than ever
The tip of the new Toyota trident is the Lexus LFA. Despite restructuring the luxury Lexus brand within its company, the Japanese carmaker has given this beloved series a lot of care with its new supercar.
The next instalment of the fabled series has been expected for a while, having been spotted on the Nürburgring testing circuit.
Taking the blueprint of the GR GT, the new Lexus LFA ups the ante with a hybrid V10 (instead of V8).
Heard in the video at the top of this article, the V10 engine has an ear-splitting purr that will be a cylindrical harmony for any fans of the series.

All cars were unveiled together by Toyota, and we’ll likely get a good chance to see them in action soon, especially with the GR GT3 poised for endurance racing in the new year.
