Toyota has officially unveiled a new-look TR010 hypercar.

It comes as a major update to the brand’s Le Mans prototype.

This is officially the hypercar that will compete in the 2026 World Endurance Championship.

And it will make its debut in Qatar in March.

Toyota throws the covers off the TR010

Well, this is certainly an interesting announcement.

Japanese giant Toyota has just revealed a new-look hypercar.

It is, of course, the brand’s weapon of choice for the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Branded the TR010, this V6-powered hybrid hypercar marks the latest iteration of the GR010.

What is interesting is that this is only the third major update Toyota has made to its WEC car.

Previous changes came back in 2022 and 2023.

But this time, the changes are clearly quite major.

The TR010 features a brand new livery.

Toyota has ditched its matte black colour scheme in favour of a red, white, and black design.

Of course, we aren’t certain about the exact changes that have been made yet.

What we can see is a heavily re-worked and revised front end.

Hypercar will battle in the 2026 WEC

Toyota’s newest offering is extremely important to the brand’s motorsport pedigree.

It introduced the LMH-spec GR010 Hybrid all the way back in 2021.

This launch actually prompted the creation of the Gazoo Racing division of the brand.

Gazoo Racing, however, is being phased out of the Toyota hypercar program.

The racing division is instead being renamed to Toyota Racing GmbH.

Its WEC team will also now race under the Toyota Racing moniker, dropping Gazoo Racing completely from its name.

The Japanese marque has enjoyed a very strong presence in the WEC recently.

It ended the 2025 season second in the overall standings, and also ended its win drought in the season finale in Bahrain.

Gazoo Racing isn’t completely being erased, though.

Toyota’s successful World Rally Championship (WRC) team will continue with the name.

That team currently fields a GR Yaris Rally1 in that competition.

We personally cannot wait to see this hypercar hit the track in Qatar in March.
