This video of a Toyota Yaris engine went viral because it confirms something a lot of people already suspected.
Keen-eyed car fans will have spotted the elephant in the room.
Because there’s something terribly wrong with this Toyota Yaris engine.
And yet the engine is still running.

Why this Toyota Yaris engine is further proof that Toyotas can be indestructible
A content creator and car mechanic called Miles Kurth shared a video of his Toyota Yaris engine that’s gone viral.
It’s become so popular because the video is seen as an extreme and brutal confirmation of the fact that Toyota engines are unkillable.
This is because the engine has four cylinders, but only one is running, which is outstanding.
Some cars can barely function with all cylinders in good shape. And yet this one needs just one of four to still work.

A recurring theme for Toyotas
If you asked 1,000 random people in 100 random countries to name the most reliable car brands in the world, you’d get a lot of different answers.
But we’d be willing to bet they’d all end up naming Toyota at some point.
Lexus would likely be included – Lexus is owned by Toyota – and both Ford and Volvo would certainly feature.
But Toyota would always be there.

This is confirmed by both anecdotal and ‘unofficial’ surveys conducted by creators who drive several cars as well as official studies.
And it’s not just Toyota’s internal combustion models because hybrid vehicles are equally solid.
Maybe this also explains why Toyota is so reluctant when it comes to electric cars, which, in terms of reliability, are still uncharted territory.
