The Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic is one of the rarest and most valuable cars in the world.

Only four were ever made, and one of them mysteriously disappeared in 1938.

This missing car, chassis number 57453, has never been found, leaving people puzzled for over 80 years.

If found today, it could be worth more than 140 million euros.

Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic mysterious disappearance

Surprisingly, the car vanished after appearing at several events, leaving behind only theories about what could have possibly happened to it.

While some believed the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic was hidden away during World War II, others suspect that the car might have been buried on private property.

But there’s no actual confirmation of what happened to this iconic classic car.

Following its disappearance, several searches and investigations took place, but no one knows where the car is today.

Clearly, the car is rare, with only four units ever made, but it was also well ahead of its time.

Can you imagine a car from the 1930s zooming down the road at a top speed of 125 mph?

Well, this car did just that, which is why many car enthusiasts call it the first supercar ever.

Only two models of the car remain today

The car had a design that’s truly one-of-a-kind, crafted by none other than Jean Bugatti, the son of the legendary Ettore Bugatti.

Moreover, Type 57SC Atlantic was initially meant to have a magnesium body, but aluminum was used instead due to practical reasons.

Today, only two of these Atlantics survive. One belongs to fashion designer Ralph Lauren, while the other is in a museum in California.

Ralph Lauren’s Atlantic even won a prestigious award at Pebble Beach in 1990, showing just how special this car is.

The mystery of the missing Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic continues to fascinate people today, with little hope of being solved.

Let’s just hope that it’s still out there…somewhere.
