Imagine not only accidentally buying a Tesla Model X EV, but also accidentally purchasing the car from Puerto Rico and tying himself up in red tape.

Well, somehow, that is what happened to EV Auto Alex from YouTube, in what must be one of the weirdest things to ever happen to someone buying a car.

In the video, the YouTuber finally gets his hands on the car after months of waiting, which left him amazingly frustrated, with paperwork also becoming a nightmare.

If we can take one thing from this video, it is apparent that buying a car from another country can lead to a lot of admin.

How this Tesla Model X was bought from Puerto Rico

As it transpired, the YouTuber had actually bought two cars by mistake.

But it was the Tesla Model X that was the first to show up, and it did only have 4,000 miles on the clock.

Host Alex managed to get the Tesla for a good deal, hence the purchase of the EV.

But buying it from Puerto Rico, sadly, came with lots of challenges.

The biggest problem was the paperwork, which took months and months to sort out.

Alex said it had been months since he bought the car, but that it had been delivered a long time ago.

Extra documents were required, and Alex had to go back and forth with the authorities before getting the EV.

Yet in the video, he was finally able to get his hands on the Tesla Model X.

What condition was the Tesla EV in?

Thankfully, it looked like the wait had been worth it for the EV.

The 2023 Tesla Model X Plaid was in superb condition.

In total, it had done around 4,500 miles, and its Hardware 4 meant it was quite up to date.

Inside it was a six-seater, which was perfect for what Alex needed.

As a car dealer, he knew he could sell it on.

In fact, he already had one customer in mind.

On the outside, it was clean and pristine, and the interior was in equally good condition.

The journey from Puerto Rico had thankfully gone well for the Tesla EV.

Yet the wait to get his hands on the car had been hugely frustrating for the YouTuber and car dealer.

Much to his relief, it looked like it had all worked out in the end.
