This Utah man issues a verdict on his Tesla Cybertruck after seven months and nearly 15,000 miles.

The YouTube channel What’s Inside? Family has discussed a lot of Tesla-related topics over the years.

But in this video, the Utah resident wanted to have his say on whether the Cybertruck was worth the hype or just overrated.

He wanted to take everything into account: the pros and the cons.

What did this man think of the Tesla Cybertruck after seven months and 15,000 miles?

First, he took a look at the build quality, which was generally positive on the whole.

In seven months, he hasn’t taken it in for service once.

However, he wasn’t too keen on the mud flaps, as he said they came off too easily while off-roading.

But there were plenty of positive attributes for him to talk about.

He praised the Cybertruck as being the ‘smoothest ride’ of any Tesla he’d driven, thanks to its large air suspension canisters.

In addition, he was also a fan of the bed cover, the steer-by-wire system, and the light bars.

The fact that it could also power his house via PowerShare was a big plus.

His wife, Leslie, also complimented the vehicle as being a smooth ride, remarking that she could comfortably take naps on long drives.

However, she wasn’t so keen on the attention that it attracted.

“I don’t like that some people think we’re trying to make a political statement by having this car,” Leslie said.

“Sometimes when I’m driving, people will do hand gestures to me or cut me off and be rude.

“It’s gotten better, but in the beginning, it was really bad.”

What wasn’t this YouTuber so keen on?

Compared to other Teslas, the Cybertruck was more expensive for him.

A full charge at a Supercharger would set him back $45, compared to $28 for a Model 3.

He also noted that the flat front of the truck collected bugs easily, meaning cleaning was constant and tedious – not to mention money-consuming.

And while he admired the look of the light bar, he didn’t like how its visibility is reduced in snowstorms.

Granted, living out in Utah probably helps with that aspect to some degree.

In conclusion, he said he would buy the Cybertruck again, saying it ‘fits my vibe’.

All in all, he described it as his favorite of the Tesla vehicles, and said it was best out of the electric trucks when it comes to ‘style, tech, and comfort’.

For working purposes, he tipped his hat to the Chevy Silverado EV, whilst the Rivian R1T was deemed the best for off-roading.

This isn’t the first time the What’s Inside? Family has taken a closer look at a Tesla vehicle.

They previously did a deep dive into the Model X after seven years.

As Teslas become more and more popular, it’s only natural that people will share their thoughts online for the benefit of others who are considering making the switch.

For example, a bunch of Tesla drivers over 150,000 miles spoke out on how their vehicles were holding up.

Much like the What’s Inside? Family, they had both praise and criticism to share.
