The Volvo XC60 is receiving a facelift for 2025.

The SUV is Volvo’s best-selling vehicle, and has been extremely popular since it’s initial release.

In 2023, the mid-range SUV sold over 200,000 units in Europe.

And now, the Swedish giant’s mid-range gem is receiving a facelift.

XC60: leading the charge for Volvo

The XC60, as mentioned above, is Volvo’s best-selling car.

Ever since it’s initial release in 2008, the Volvo XC60 has proven extremely popular.

The junior sibling of the XC90, Volvo’s middleweight SUV has always been considered a stable, solid car.

However, it’s also generally been considered a little…unremarkable.

As a result, the Swedes have decided to give their top-selling vehicle a facelift, including new tech.

New tech, new audio options and new…cupholders

Firstly, the facelift XC60 is an extremely good-looking SUV.

The updated SUV looks extremely slick, and clearly derives it’s looks from it’s bigger brother XC90.

Firstly, the new Volvo comes with an updated display screen in the center console.

A new 11.2 inch screen comes with 21 percent higher pixel density; a noticeable improvement on the previous version.

Furthermore, the new XC60 display comes with Snapdragon software, so it’s set to be almost twice as fast as the old display.

There’s also different speaker options, too – depending on what takes your fancy.

The facelift XC60 comes with either a Bower and Wilkins (1,100w) or a Harman Kardon (600w) sound system, so it’s always nice to have the option.

Does the XC60 come with any different engine options?

At the moment, our expectation is that the current line-up will stay exactly the same.

If true, that keeps the 2.0 liter, turbo-four ‘B5’ as the entry-level option. It comes with a 48v mild hybrid system.

This accounts for 247BHP and a 0-60 time of just under seven seconds.

There are also a pair of plug-in hybrid options, too.

The ‘T6’ comes with 345BHP, and has an estimated 0-60 time of around 5.7 seconds.

The ‘T8’ top-of-the-range XC60 should be good for 449BHP, and a 0-60 time of roughly 4.9 seconds.

Keep an eye out for the new SUV’s release – it should prove to be a big hit with the public once again.
