As the fabled Monte Carlo streets lie still ahead of the weekend when the F1 drivers will burn rubber and tarmac alike, the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix build-up is all about the sea, where celebs and racers show off their yachts.

The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most divisive races on the calendar.

But its spectacle is unrivaled, as the accumulation of yachts and supercars highlights everything that is beloved about the sport’s relationship with this rich city.

Already, the docks are being lined with F1 drivers’ yachts. And in typical fashion, it’s Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc on pole.

Many of the Formula 1 stars have chosen the stunning sights of Monaco as their home, docking their yachts and lining the cobblestones with supercars.

But as the Grand Prix calendar arrives at the brutal street race, the wealth is out in full force.

Just last week, George Russell visited home to take delivery of a $2.7m Mercedes-AMG ONE, which will no doubt make an appearance this week.

Racers and billionaire businessmen are now sailing the Monaco shores. And there are a number of showstoppers on display, such as former world’s richest man Bernard Arnault’s $150M superyacht.

The F1 drivers themselves are also flexing their sea prowess.

Monaco-born Charles Leclerc is the owner of a Riva 66 Ribelle superyacht, rumoured to be worth over $4.5 million.

Despite already being docked in Monte Carlo – he opts to get to the Monaco Grand Prix by bicycle – the Ferrari man has a prime position for his boat.

Shortly after winning in Emilia-Romagna, Max Verstappen has wasted no time getting back to his home in Monaco, with his $13m Mangusta Gransport 33 being spotted in the Monaco dock.

There are a number of other yachts that could make the trip into Monaco, too.

For instance, Michael Latifi, father of former racer Nicholas Latifi could drop by. He’s the proud owner of a regular showstopper named Sophia, previously known as Faith when in the ownership of Lawrence Stroll.

Stroll himself won’t be docking this year, as he awaits delivery of a 259-foot behemoth vessel.

Finally, Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso could be sailing in.

But he has since moved from Monaco to Switzerland, making it quite a tough trip for his boat. He might opt to wow fans in his gold Ford GT Heritage Edition again, though.
