The Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most novel vehicles of all time, standing out from the crowd with its boxy slate appearance. But thanks to winter weather, one unique feature could be about to be replaced.
When it comes to the Tesla Cybertruck, almost every element of its design has been carefully placed to be different.
While combining to be a revolutionary step forward for electric pickups, the appearance has divided opinions across critics, Tesla fanatics, and everyday truck drivers.
However, future models could be dialling back the eccentricities. Especially the massive four-foot windscreen blade.

Tesla is reportedly ‘investigating’ design flaw exposed in winter weather
Having flown under the radar due to its polarizing look, the singular blade that spans across the screen of the Tesla Cybertruck is much larger than anything we could have expected.
While it’s not the reason that some drivers are ditching the electric truck for competitors like the Cadillac Escalade IQ this winter, the wiper blade has been subject to complaints in severe conditions.
Not being as effective in clearing snow, slush, and heavy rainfall from the driver’s view quickly, the single-wiper-blade tech is now under ‘investigation’.
According to a report from Teslahubs, an internal communications note claimed that the massive windscreen wiper is being reviewed.

“Wiper performance is under active Engineering investigation,” the notes read.
This doesn’t directly imply that a change is imminent, but it’s clear that the company now knows its drivers face difficulties in the winter.
Interestingly, the windscreen wiper is one of many elements of the Cybertruck that would have to be changed to abide by European and UK regulations; a change in design could give Tesla the opportunity to get closer to its worldwide release.
How cold weather really affects the Tesla Cybertruck
Its not the only element of the Tesla Cybertruck that comes under scrutiny in the cold.
However, it generally performs better than expected in harsh conditions.
Tests run by drivers in -6°F conditions ended up with plaudits claiming that it is ‘the best vehicle I’ve ever driven in the snow and cold.’

Aside from the blade and some reported drops in its overall range, the Cybertruck is regarded as one of the best winter weather handlers, and a new wiper design could make it even better.
Still, there are more ways to modify a Cybertruck that make it so good in the snow, the Plow Machine bows before it.
