A woman had been waiting to find a 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville in factory fresh condition, and she then found one hiding in a barn after 20 years.
YouTuber Sarah from Caddy Girl Garage had been looking for one of these Cadillacs for some time, and when this cropped up, she realized it was the car she’d been seeking.
After the usual negotiation with the car’s owner, the YouTuber was able to acquire the American classic and rescue it from its barn.
Thankfully, due to the dry climate in which it had been stored, this Cadillac had been preserved in great condition.

The story behind this 1959 Cadillac Coupe De Ville
According to Sarah, this particular Coupe De Ville was offered for sale by the granddaughter of the original owner.
While it had not run in around 20 years, it had been stored undercover in a barn.
The dry climate of California, where it had been living, helped keep the car in pretty good shape.

Closer inspection revealed that the metalwork was in superb condition.
The paintwork, while dusty, also looked to have survived rather well.
This was a barn find too good for Sarah to pass up on, so she bought it with the intention of getting it back on the road.
The YouTuber’s video showed she was, in fact, able to get her 390ci V8 roaring back into life.
This American classic was a very special find
This Coupe De Ville was one of the best models in the Cadillac range in 1959.
The 390ci V8 under the hood produces 325hp and 430lb-ft of torque, making it a powerful beast.
It is also a fantastic-looking car, and a long one at 225 inches nose to tail.
The rear has very striking fins, with bullet-style rear lamps.

The front is adorned with chrome, with the grille and bumpers really popping out.
Cadillac built just 21,924 examples of this Coupe De Ville, with far fewer surviving in 2025.
Depending on the condition, they can sell for as much as $70,000 at auctions.
It looks like Sarah was able to get a very good deal on this special barn find.
