In a truly distressing scene, the SSC Ultimate Aero – the car that stole the world’s fastest title from the Bugatti Veyron – has been sadly crushed in rural Washington at the owner’s request.

We’ve never heard about a car owner being so mad with their car, especially one as nice as this. But turns out its punishment was to be crushed by a gigantic monster truck.

The SSC Ultimate Aero once held the title of the world’s fastest car, it could easily outpace the likes of a Bugatti Veyron, but it was intentionally destroyed in front of a crowd.

It was a sorry sight, seeing what was once a celebrated speedster become the flattest pancake in all of Washington. But a monster truck’s gotta do what a monster truck’s gotta do.

The world’s fastest car now is the world’s flattest car

Normally, there’s nothing we love more than a good old monster truck rally. But in this case, it wasn’t just a celebrated supercar crushed, but also our spirits.

The SSC Ultimate Aero was once the fastest car in the entire world, faster than even a Bugatti Veyron. So how did it find itself in the middle of a pile of crushed cars at a monster truck rally in rural Washington?

Turns out, for some reason, the owner of the now ex-SSC Ultimate Aero hated his supercar so much that he gave it to the Tri-City Raceway in rural Washington to be as completely destroyed as it can be.

Not only was the supercar crushed by a gigantic monster truck, it was also fed into a flame-throwing crushing machine to make sure it was well and truly destroyed, just like the owner wanted.

SSC North America was as crushed as the supercar

In a post by the automakers about a completely different subject, SSC North America wrote that ‘the owner of the car made the decision. We did not approve of it and are deeply saddened by it,’ when asked about it.

While it’s a real shame to see such an iconic and speedy car get crushed, we have to wonder what the car did to its owner to warrant such a punishment.

It shows that even the fastest car in the world is no match for a gigantic, classic all-American monster truck. Shame they didn’t use this monster truck limousine – that would have been classy.
