The world’s only street-legal Pagani Huayra R is coming to America, it’s owned by a Miami entrepreneur

The world’s only street-legal Pagani Huayra R is on its way to Miami after being spotted at Goodwood.

The Huayra R isn’t street-legal per se, but this one is.

Reportedly owned by a businessman based out of Miami, the car is currently on its way back home.

And there’s a very good reason why there’s only one in the world.

Why this is the only street-legal Pagani Huayra R in the world

Pagani built 30 Huayra R models, but they all started out as a track-only iteration of the Huayra.

The engine is the same naturally-aspirated 850-horsepower 6.0-liter V12 as the ‘standard’ Huayra, but Pagani made a few changes to make it more track-friendly, which automatically made it less road-friendly.

Generally speaking, most people tend to think making a car street-legal is about rocket science, but that’s often not the case.

For example, the owner of the first Cybertruck in the UK found out the hard way that road compliance is often all about seemingly trivial things such as the position of taillights and wing mirror lights.

In, fact that’s exactly what the owner of this Pagani Huayra R had to deal with it to make it street-legal.

The owner shipped the car to the UK, partly because he wanted to attend Goodwood but also because the best company in the world for this sort of thing is Lanzante, which is based in the UK.

In order to make it street-legal, the UK firm had to tweak suspension to increase raised ride height, tweak the front axle lift system, and add road-compliant headlights and taillights.

So, there are only 30 units, but this is the only one that’s street-legal.

About Lanzante

Lanzante is the go-to company if you want to turn your track-only car into a street-legal supercar.

They’ve done with the McLaren P1 GTR, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, the Zonda R and now with the world’s only street-legal Pagani Huayra R.

The company also creates its own supercar.

Just a few days ago, the UK company unveiled the 95-59, an ultra-exclusive supercar with three seats, just like the iconic McLaren F1.
