World's worst road to drive on is so bad it's funny, it's barely even able to be called a road

This woman took a drive down what could easily be called the world’s worst road, and trust us when we say you’re not prepared.

There are a lot of things that could make a road unpleasant to drive down – perhaps it’s covered with litter, or it’s constantly rammed with traffic.

But none of those attributes holds a candle to the dreaded pothole.

And if you don’t want to face any potholes, don’t take your car for a spin down this Michigan road.

This could easily be the world’s worst road

Taylor Thomas, known on TikTok as taytay123142, filmed herself as she drove down a road in Michigan.

This was after two months of ‘long-lasting snow’.

Suffice to say, the cold weather had apparently taken its toll on the road.

To call this a road would be an insult to all decent roads out there.

There were potholes as far as the eye could see, making the surface look more like a sheet of bubble wrap.

It goes without saying that this was a bumpy ride.

We can only imagine how nerve-wracking it must have been to drive a car down the road in this state.

Viewers shared their thoughts on the travesty.

“Why do we even have dirt roads in 2026?” one asked.

“Could it be possible to send this to a Michigan Representative? This road should be LEGALLY CLOSED!!!” another fumed.

Fortunately, there was some respite on the way.

Could this road be fixed?

A few weeks after her first video, Taylor shared a video showing off the new and improved road.

In the caption, she wrote:

“Wayne County came out four days after the video was posted.

“It definitely improved…but within 24 hours, we were right back to muddy potholes.

“Now with the snow, everything’s frozen again.”

Despite what’s shown in this video, Michigan isn’t considered the worst state for drivers.

That distinction goes to South Carolina, according to the Underwood Law Firm.

Colorado didn’t come out great in one study either – it’s no wonder these pros from Colorado are routinely having to rescue Jeeps that roll down hills.
