YouTuber and Netflix star Shawn Pilot found a wrecked 1960 Chevrolet Corvette that turned out to be the world’s cheapest C1 Corvette sports car in the world.

The C1 Corvette was the first version of the classic sports car, which went through a turbulent time before it became an American icon.

Shawn Pilot had bought a cheap and wrecked 1960 Corvette on Facebook Marketplace, but under the damaged body was an exceptional chassis from a C1.

The chassis alone will likely be worth more than the purchase price of the entire sports car.

This rare C1 Corvette cost just $20,000

A deal this cheap seemed too good for Pilot to pass up.

So he went to take a look at the car.

The chassis has had some upgrades, namely to the suspension, but the car is currently in an unrestored condition.

Not all the parts are included with the car.

But it did have seats, a roof, bumpers, and the front grille.

A lot of the work on the car was done in 1996, but it has sat outside ever since.

Its owner was in the U.S. Air Force, and time simply wasn’t available to work on the Chevrolet.

The car was listed for $20,000 according to the video.

But the owner stated he was open to offers and keen to sell the car on.

The former Wheeler Dealer bought the Chevrolet Corvette for $12,000

After a little bit of negotiation, Pilot was able to buy the C1 Corvette for $12,000.

While there is a lot of work to do on the car, there is also a lot of potential with it.

The car could become something very special when the restoration is finished.

Once he got the parts home, it just looked like a giant kit that needed assembling.

What Pilot was happy about was that he got more parts than he expected, and a lot of the parts were in great condition.

The fact that the chassis alone is worth more than a lot of the car reveals how valuable C1 Corvettes are.

Pilot was even able to get the transmission and a brand new radiator to go into it.

The finished product could look spectacular.
