The Xiaomi YU7 performance variant, also known as the YU7 GT, has been spotted roaring around the Nürburgring.
This hot SUV, which is expected to hit the domestic market soon, looks far more aggressive than its regular sibling.
With wide arches, big wheels, and a splashy camouflage job, it’s clear this crossover means business.
And if Xiaomi’s recent track record is anything to go by, the YU7 GT might just shake up the performance EV world.

Spy shots show some serious upgrades
The Nürburgring sighting was shared by a Chinese blogger, and the spy shots show a crossover with some serious upgrades.

First off, the rear fenders of the Xiaomi YU7 GT look broader than the regular model, so it’s likely to be housing chunky 305mm tires for maximum grip.
The 21-inch wheels fill the arches perfectly, while massive ceramic brake discs with bright yellow calipers peek out, suggesting this SUV is built to stop as fast as it can go.
A ducktail spoiler, frameless mirrors, flush door handles, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor round out the futuristic-yet-muscular package.
The Xiaomi YU7 GT is going to be a beast of an SUV
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Xiaomi flexing on performance.
The SU7 Ultra sedan, which debuted earlier this year, already shocked the industry by smashing Nürburgring lap records.

Now, the YU7 GT is rumored to borrow the same triple-motor powertrain.
If that holds, we’re looking at 1,138kW (that’s 1,526 horsepower) and 1,770Nm of torque.
To put it bluntly, this is supercar power wrapped in SUV bodywork.
Underneath, the juice comes from CATL’s latest Qilin 2.0NMC battery with 93.7kWh capacity.
It’s smaller than the mega-packs we’re seeing in long-range cruisers, but this setup prioritizes punch over distance, exactly what you’d want in a track-ready SUV.
And while spy shots are fun, the YU7 GT could end up being more than just a Chinese performance toy.
Remember, Ferrari itself was caught benchmarking Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra earlier this year in Maranello.
If Xiaomi’s sedans are already making Ferrari engineers take notes, imagine what the GT crossover might do once it launches.
