This YouTuber found an abandoned private jet deep in the woods, and no one has any idea how it got here.
Although, to be fair, we could have an educated guess.
But it doesn’t matter anyway because this plane is destined to remain here.
And that’s a very specific reason.

The key difference between an abandoned private jet and (nearly) anything else
A lot of YouTubers create content about abandoned vehicles, including aircraft, cars, yachts – you name it.
There are a thousand differences, but the main one is legal.
If a YouTuber finds an abandoned vehicle somewhere, assuming the vehicle isn’t subject to any legal restrictions – for example, if it’s abandoned after being seized – and you’ve got all the relevant paperwork, they could theoretically restore it and use it.

The process is pretty straightforward with cars and still relatively doable with boats.
But with planes, it’s a binary thing: either the plane is deemed legally airworthy, or it isn’t.
Simply put: if a plane’s maintenance logs are missing, the FAA will consider the aircraft a permanent museum piece – no matter how much you spend to fix it
A YouTuber who built his channel around Elvis Presley’s plane found that out the hard way.
After realizing he’d have to spend millions to make it airworthy again in practical terms, he came to terms with the fact he would never be allowed to make it legally airworthy again.
Aviation is one of the most heavily regulated industries, and the rules are pretty standardized.
So, nope, the plane you see here will never fly again.
This Dassault Falcon somehow ended up in the middle of a forest

YouTuber Tavarish, the guy who’s mostly famous for trying to rebuild the flooded McLaren P1, once did something totally different and filmed an abandoned Dassault Falcon somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
The plane was likely there as a result of a crash, considering it was stuck between some trees in a forest.
The plane was in terrible shape.
Just a few years ago, this would’ve been a $25 million plane.
But now it was essentially a hollowed-out shell destined to be a treehouse rather than a jet, because restoring its legal flight status was a financial and regulatory impossibility.
Pity.
