For one of his YouTube videos, American creator Matt Brown took a bold challenge to put the engine of a CBR1000RR motorcycle into a Honda S600 car.

The reason was simple – he wanted to see if this unusual engine swap would work.

While the bike’s engine was powerful, the car was compact and lightweight, making it a perfect combination.

Making a bike engine work in a car might seem like a tricky business, and you’d be absolutely correct in that assumption.

However, for Matt, projects like these are business as usual.

In one of his earlier videos, he gained attention by transforming a Dodge Viper into an off-road vehicle to give it more muscle.

Bike engines are quite affordable – as Matt explained – and typically cost around $1000 dollars.

The Honda S600 originally came with a modest 57 horsepower engine, which pales in comparison to the power of the CBR1000RR engine that Matt was installing.

Basically, this unusual swap was going to make the car more powerful.

The project was tricker than it looked

To start with, Matt first stripped down the S600, removing unnecessary parts to make room for the larger motorcycle engine.

He then had to figure out how to connect the engine to the car’s wheels.

This involved some custom work, including installing a driveshaft to transfer power from the engine to the wheels.

One big challenge was the fact that motorcycles don’t have a reverse gear like cars do.

To solve this, Matt installed a special gearbox for reversing and set up a simple cable system to control it.

However, the project was far from finished.

He still needed to to work on the fuel system, exhaust setup, engine cooling, brakes, and other details to ensure everything ran smoothly and safely.

Projects like the one Matt worked on or the guy who gave a new transformation to Elvis Presley’s jet are really fascinating.

If you like to watch more intriguing projects like these, Matt’s YouTube channel is the ideal starting point for you.
