A $1 million flying car known as the Aircar will be making its market debut next year.

Klein Vision says it’s on the brink of making the flying car a reality, and hopes to introduce the AirCar in the first quarter of 2026.

Test flights of the second pre-production prototype are set to take place this fall.

Should this project get off the ground – no pun intended – it would make a huge impact on the automotive industry.

Flying cars were once thought to be confined to the realms of sci-fi, whether it be in The Jetsons or Back to the Future.

But in recent years, more and more companies have been toying with the idea.

In fact, Pal-V put a flying car on display in Monaco back in March.

The Alef Model A Flying Car has already received more than 3,200 preorders.

And it’s not solely a western fascination – China is expected to have 100,000 flying cars by the time this decade comes to an end.

Even Alex Hirschi, aka Supercar Blondie, has gotten the chance to ride in a flying car; even if she was stopped by the police whilst doing so.

So it’s clearly the future – and the future is coming sooner than we could have anticipated.

Case in point – the AirCar from Klein Vision.

The Slovakia-based company has been toying with the idea for a while, and hopes to have it rolled out by the start of 2026.

But not everybody believes it just yet.

One prominent sceptic was actor Morgan Freeman, who presented Klein Vision with a Special recognition Award for Engineering Excellence at the 2025 Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner.

After Freeman reportedly voiced doubts, Klein Vision’s cofounder Anton Zajac told the Oscar winner that anybody could go to the shop and see the AirCar flying themselves.

Not that Zajac never had doubts himself.

“We were cautious when we started the [AirCar] project,” he told Robb Report.

“The goal was to get proof of concept and proof of geometry and come up with something we could fly.”

Klein has been designing five generations of flying cars since 1989.

Like most companies developing such advanced technology, it has been working with limited resources and regulation hurdles.

But Klein remains optimistic that things are moving at an encouraging speed.

The first prototype of the AirCar has completed 170 flight hours since its first flight back in 2021.

The second version will be 440 pounds lighter.

“This will climb and fly faster than the first prototype and we’ve put in a larger cockpit,” Zajac said.

In flight, it will have a range of around 620 miles, and around 500 on the ground.

The price will range between $800,000 and $1 million.

Watch the skies.

Because soon enough, you won’t have to go down to the shop like Morgan Freeman to see the $1 million AirCar in action.
