A 1,100hp BMW M2 has just been filmed drifting through the BMW Munich factory.

The special stunt was coordinated with the Bavarian brand and a special motorsport team.

Elias Hountondji of the Red Bull Driftbrothers brought his M2 to the Munich factory.

And chaos ensued when the drifter took a trip through the factory – with a lot of smoke.

BMW M2 took in Munich factory in unique way

BMW has pulled off yet another crazy stunt.

The Munich factory isn’t normally a place where one witnesses drifting.

But that has all changed – because the Munich factory was recently witness to an epic drift stunt.

And this time, it has brought in a professional drifting team to do it.

Elias Hountondji is one half of the Red Bull Driftbrothers team.

And he was recently invited to take an unconventional tour of the factory.

The stunt video itself, which you can check out above, is as epic as it sounds.

It features Hountondji sliding the 1,100hp M2 through the production line while the car itself is being assembled.

Various components, including panels and doors, are actively assembled throughout the stunt sequence.

Hountondji slides the BMW M2 between robotic arms, tool stations, and forklifts – often with just millimeters to spare.

Heavily modified to dominate drifting

As you’ve probably worked out by now, this is far from a standard M2.

It was built, in fact, by the Driftbrothers’ own performance workshop.

The 229hp pocket-rocket uses BMW M’s S58 twin-turbo straight-six, tuned to deliver more than 1,100hp.

This car has been completely built from the ground up.

It is set to make its racing debut in the 2026 Drift Masters European Championship.

The Driftbrothers have heavily modified the powerplant to sustain the abuses of drifting.

An enlarged cooling system, additional chassis bracing, and a modified engine block are all present.

Every modification exists to serve a very specific and clear-focused purpose.

In case it takes your fancy, this M2 is actually currently on display to view.

It is currently being displayed at BMW Welt in Munich from October 23 to November 5, 2025.

You can probably still smell the burning tires in the Munich factory.
