This ancient relic of a 1956 Pontiac Chieftain was found sitting in the woods with original paperwork.

After resting in the grounds of someone’s property – it still had the original owner’s manual very much in tact.

The car was secured by one motor enthusiast who aimed to give it a new lease of life.

The condition of the classic car really was impressive – just wait until you see inside the cabin.

When it comes to classic car American cars – it’s no big secret that Pontiac ruled the game.

In fact, many car lovers are still scheming to get their hands on the vehicles today – decades after they started out on the production line.

One young 17-year-old even revealed that he spent his weekends rebuilding an iconic Pontiac with his grandma.

Plus, a 1972 Pontiac LeMans got a shot at a new lease of life after 20 years in a dilapidated and crumbling barn.

This Pontiac Chieftain though, is sure to jump to the top of our impressive find list.

Enter the 1956 Pontiac Chieftain

The car was found sitting in the woods on someone’s property in Tennessee with original paperwork still in tact.

Impressed so far? Well, you’ve seen nothing yet.

Despite having all the paperwork, it did need some TLC – and it was eventually secured by YouTuber LukeChildress, who was ready to fix it up and make it look sharp once more.

Amazingly, after living in the woods – the car was in excellent condition.

What’s more – according to Luke – the Pontiac only actually had one owner previous to the current owner- which is quite rare for a classic car, you have to admit.

“This is a gorgeous car and I just can’t believe how clean and solid this thing is,” he noted.

And he certainly wasn’t wrong.

The original cost of the Pontiac was just $3,095

It was bought on August 3rd, 1996 according to the documents found within the vehicle.

The Pontiac car brand ran from 1926 to 2008 and its cars were known to be swish, swift movers – which we can clearly see was once the case from this snap up.

It would have carried power too, as in March an ‘Extra Horsepower’ V-8 engine was unveiled.

Even the interior was in good condition

After just washing the blue and white exterior, the car already looked like new and was almost glistening.

The blue seats and classic cabin features still looked functional- which we imagine made the Youtuber appreciate his golden snap up even more.

The ‘very, very neat car’ was clearly loved by this petrol head – but what do you think?

Would you fix it up and sell it to a new owner or keep it to cruise down highways in?

We know what we’d rather do.
