There’s a man in California who’s willing to give away his 1959 Chevrolet Impala for free.
There’s a catch, but it isn’t a big one.
Apparently, all you have to do to get the car for free is build his driveway.
This proposed trade offer is a little bit strange, and it sort of narrows down the list of people who might take advantage of it, because the buyer will have to know how to build a driveway.
But this is certainly an offer that’s worthy of consideration.
What the owner of the Chevrolet Impala is asking for

It seems that the owner of the Impala is into old cars, as many of the other cars on his driveway – yes, that driveway that you’ll need to do some work on – are old classics.
The word some people might use is ‘projects’.
The thing is, there’s no driveway outside of his workshop other than some gravel and dead leaves.
So a person that knows how to build a driveway could walk home with a Chevy Impala for free.
The Impala will require a lot of work, but it isn’t a bad deal.

A short history of the Chevy Impala
A conversation about iconic Chevrolet models always starts and ends with the Chevy Corvette, whether we’re talking about the classics or its new hybrid variant.
The Corvette is in a league of its own, but Chevrolet created a long list of iconic models, including the Impala.
First launched in 1958, the Impala is one of the best-selling Chevy models of all time.
Chevy sold millions of Impalas across ten generations.

Interestingly but unsurprisingly – when it comes to Impala – rarity does not coincide with desirability.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
The most coveted Impalas, by far, are models from the 1950s and 1960s, even though Chevy was selling over a million units per year every year back then.
