This beautiful one-owner 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe has just over 1,000 miles on the clock and looks brand new.

The car was snapped up by Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage.

He reckons it’s the lowest mileage 1968 Ford Mustang that he and his team have ever got their hands on.

The car has had just one owner and it’s clear to see they took exceptionally good care of the car.

The 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe is a ‘time capsule’

Rawlings has one of the most impressive car collections out there, but even he was left impressed by the near-mint condition 1968 Ford Mustang.

“It’s absolutely a time capsule,” he said in a video uploaded to the Gas Monkey Garage YouTube channel.

And he’s not wrong.

Although the car is almost 60 years old, it looks as if it’s just rolled off the production line.

The car’s paintwork is fresh and it even has the original sticker on the back license plate area.

Speaking of original, this 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe is just that.

It has held onto its original tires, hubcaps, trunk mat, and even the spare tire in the trunk.

Inside the car is a similar story, the interiors look clean and fresh and it really is hard to believe the car is 57 years old.

Alongside the pristine seats and dashboard, there’s also a dealer-installed air conditioning system.

The Mustang still runs and drives and has just 1,031 miles on the clock. Unbelievable, right?

“The lowest mile Mustang ‘68 coupe in the world, according to our records,” Rawlings commented.

“1,016 miles, pretty cool.” You can say that again.

What does Rawlings have planned for the Mustang?

After giving the car the once over, and liking what he saw, Rawlings decided to buy the Mustang.

But despite clearly being taken with the 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe, Rawlings is planning on selling the vintage vehicle.

We can’t imagine he’ll have to search too hard to find a buyer keen to snap up such a stunning classic.

Here’s hoping its new owner gets plenty of use out of it and adds a few zeros to that odometer.
