A 1973 Plymouth Barracuda muscle car has been reunited with its former owner from Texas, decades after he was forced to sell it.
Nobody wants to have to sell a car, but this particular Barracuda was sold as its owner had to pay medical bills.
That sale took place over 33 years ago, and YouTuber Mopars5150 was able to reunite the former owner with his car after a long time away from it.
This is one Plymouth Barracuda with a remarkable backstory, and one that thankfully has a happy ending.

Why the 1973 Plymouth Barracuda was sold
The muscle car was originally finished in light blue, with a 318ci engine under the hood.
Its first owner sold it in 1992, who had to pay a substantial amount in hospital bills as a young father.
Back then, the buyer paid $1,200 for the car, before he modified the muscle car like this 1969 Chevy Nova.
In 2025, the Plymouth will have an emerald green color with a black interior.
It also now has a 360ci V8 under the hood.

Further modifications took the car away from the owner’s original model.
But it still had the heart and soul of a Barracuda, even if that heart had been transplanted.
Mopars5150 saw an ad for the car online and bought it in a short time.
The Barracuda needed to be coaxed into life
Such was the speed of his purchase that the YouTuber bought the car just nine minutes after the ad was posted.
As you might expect, there was a moment of ‘will it run?’ as the YouTuber got to grips with the car.
But it did run, and everything worked from the gauges to the horn and the lights.
The most heartwarming moment of the video was reuniting the car with its original Texas owner.

In some ways, that meant the story of the muscle car had come full circle.
Despite the modifications, the Barracuda was in very good condition, and the Emerald Green really suited it.
There may be some temptation from its new owner to paint the car back into its original light blue.
For now, it looks like the YouTuber is ready to enjoy driving around in a muscle car classic like this Buick GNX.
