This one-owner 1998 Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta was rescued from a dusty old garage where it had been stashed away for more than a decade.
Introduced in 1994, the Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta is an absolute icon.
During its five-year-long production run, Ferrari produced 4,871 road-going Berlinetta models.
Which means it’s pretty rare to see one in the wild, but one was recently unearthed in a garage in the UK, and now it’s set to go to auction.

The 1998 Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta found abandoned
The bright red 1998 Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta recently appeared on the Anglia Car Auctions YouTube channel, where it was hauled out of the garage it had been stored in for years.
The car had been hidden away inside a lock-up in London for ‘some years’, with its most recent service dated 2011.
The Ferrari had just one owner, who has now sadly passed away, so the car is headed to auction.

The car is an original right-hand-drive UK example and is finished in Rossa Corsa over a Magnolia leather interior.
Despite its years off the road, the Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta’s paintwork was in good condition and it looked to have held up well.
Under the hood, the F355 has its original 3.4-litre V8 engine mated to a six-speed automated manual F1-style transmission with paddle shifters.
However, as the car has been sitting for so long, it’s being sold as a non-runner.
The car has just 2,858 miles on the clock, and comes with a service book that shows five stamps, including three cambelt changes.

After taking a closer look at the Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta, the car expert decided to attempt to carefully remove it from the garage, where it had spent the past 15 or so years.
Thankfully, the vintage vehicle was winched out without too much trouble, getting its first glimpse of daylight in years.
The Ferrari is headed for auction, where it could sell for a small fortune
The 1998 Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta is set to pass the auction block on Saturday, January 31.
As yet, Anglia Car Auctions hasn’t put a valuation on the car, but with it being a Ferrari, you can expect it to sell for a tidy sum.
According to Classic.com, a 1997-1999 Ferrari F355 F1 Berlinetta sells for an average of $101,439 – but the price can vary considerably depending on its condition, with some selling for upwards of $200,000.
So, it seems that this car could be one to watch when it goes under the hammer later this month.
