A dealership worker says that his particular Ford Excursion is the hottest car right now, and the owners are ‘never giving it up.’
TikTok user JRay (@jray0249) is the owner of a diesel Ford Excursion, and thought nothing of it until he visited some of his local dealerships.
The TikTok user was surprised to see that many of the workers kept asking if he wanted to trade in the car, without realizing that it is currently a hugely popular part of the resale market.
Despite that, JRay has been determined not to give up his Excursion.

Why is the Ford Excursion the hottest car right now?
The vehicle in question is a 2003 Ford Excursion, equipped with a 6.0-liter turbocharged V8 diesel engine that produces 325hp and 560lb-ft of torque.
It has been two decades since Ford discontinued the car, but it is making a resurgence.
According to the Diesel Army blog, a lot of that is because of its towing capacity and spacious interior.
The payload capacity is also a big strength of the Ford SUV.

Depending on the trim, the Excursion could tow from 9,600 to 11,000 lbs in total, which is very impressive.
That stacks up well against vehicles released in the last few years.
That has led to an increased demand for the almost classic SUV.
Excursion prices can vary wildly
Prices for the Ford SUV can vary quite a lot depending on the condition, trim, and mileage.
Autotrader reveals a whole host for sale from around 2003.
Some sell for as little as $5,000, but others can rise up to $20,000, and some even well over $30,000.
At the time of writing, a modified 2002 Excursion was listed for sale at a staggering $55,000.
TikTok user Jray then has a car that is really in demand.
Despite the attention it’s got, he has resisted trading it in so far as it has proven to be so useful.
Reliability is another strong point, with one viewer of the TikTok video commenting that they recently traded theirs in.
However, they only did so as they didn’t need the towing capacity anymore, and the truck still worked amazingly.
In total, that one had done 399,550 miles with no faults.
That is a testament to how good this Ford actually is and why it is the hottest car right now.
