A man who bought a brand-new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV was left seriously impressed when he started it up for the very first time.

Dodge unveiled its first-ever EV in March 2024 and first deliveries began rolling out in January this year.

Dodge knew it might not be the most straightforward task convincing its gas-loving customers to switch to an all-electric.

So it included a neat little feature – a feature that left his Dodge owner completely mind-blown.

The Dodge Charger Daytona EV sounds like a classic muscle car

When creating the ‘world’s first EV muscle car’, Dodge decided to add an ‘exhaust note’ to its Charger Daytona EV that makes it roar like a standard gas-powered motor.

Smart, right?

The noise is created by the EV’s ‘Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust’ system, which works by pushing its sound through an amplifier and tuning chamber located at the rear of the vehicle.

The result? The EV sounds a helluva lot like the Dodge muscle cars we all know and love.

In fact, Dodge claimed it will produce a sound as loud as 126dB – which is louder than your average rocket concert – and is as loud as a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

Unlike its V8-powered predecessors, the Dodge Charger Daytona EV can be switched into ‘stealth mode’ where it will be as quiet as a standard all-electric.

This Charger Daytona owner was blown away by the noise

A man who recently snapped up a 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona EV was left blown away after he experienced the ‘exhaust sound’ in real life.

In a clip shared on TikTok, the owner of the EV recorded the very-first time he started the car and it was accompanied by a deep throaty roar.

“What the… oh Lord,” he can be heard saying as the car roars away.

Not the sort of sound you’d expect from an EV, is it?

Of course, the car doesn’t just sound the part – it got plenty of power to back it up.

It comes with a 400V propulsion system that’s said to deliver ‘supercharged V8 performance’, with instant torque and zero tailpipe emissions.

That system uses a high-voltage battery pack, a dual-integrated charge module, and a front and rear EDM.

Combined, both EDMs generate 355 horsepower and 300lb-ft of torque.
