Tesla Cybertrucks have already attracted plenty of attention for their unusual angular design, but some owners have decided the electric pickup needs a little extra personality.
One man recently visited a gathering at the Tesla factory in Texas to check out 55 of the most eye-catching modified examples.
From gaming consoles and rooftop tents to armored bodywork and some seriously unusual wraps, there was a lot to take in.
And while some owners have opted for relatively subtle changes, others have gone all out with their creations.
One Cybertruck has a built-in PlayStation 5 while another is ready for off-road racing
The event, called X Takeover, brought together dozens of customized Cybertruck EVs, with the presenter taking viewers on a tour of some of his favorites.
Several trucks had been given Halo-inspired designs, making for some particularly eye-catching additions to Tesla’s stainless-steel pickup.
But one of the more unexpected modifications was a Cybertruck with a built-in PlayStation 5.

The owner told Accelerating Tech that he never drives the vehicle while the console is running, although the presenter wasn’t entirely convinced.
Another truck was considerably more serious, with its owner transforming it into an off-road racing machine.
It featured custom suspension, King off-road shocks and a roll cage, while much of the unnecessary interior equipment had been removed to make it more suitable for racing.

There were also several camping-focused Cybertrucks, complete with rooftop tents, while one even had a little couch setup in its front trunk.
Other examples included Batman-themed graphics, SpaceX-inspired designs and a truck covered in what looked like the distinctive tiles found on Starship.

Some of the wildest Cybertrucks had unusual wraps and accessories
The event wasn’t short of colorful creations, with owners finding plenty of ways to make their pickups stand out from the crowd.
One particularly interesting example had been given a gold-and-black finish inspired by Tesla’s Cybercab, while another featured a Voltron theme.
There was even a Cybertruck covered in googly eyes, alongside several with custom wheels, black wraps and extensive LED lighting.
One owner had gone particularly far with their modifications, adding an impressive collection of accessories and lighting to their truck.

There were also solar panels mounted on the roof of one example, although the presenter admitted he wasn’t entirely sure what was going on with that particular setup.
For anyone who enjoys taking their electric pickup on adventures, there were plenty of ideas to borrow, too.
Several owners had installed rooftop tents, while others had created dedicated camping setups and added practical storage solutions.

One Cybertruck has been given an armored makeover
Perhaps one of the most unusual vehicles at the gathering was a polished stainless-steel Cybertruck that had been given an armored makeover.
The vehicle featured thick bullet-resistant glass and a heavily reinforced exterior, with the presenter pointing out visible damage from previous gunfire testing.

However, not every part of the armor appeared to have held up perfectly.
He noted that some of the shots seemed to have penetrated the vehicle’s protective bodywork, suggesting the truck had been tested with some particularly powerful firearms.
The thick glass was also on display, giving viewers a closer look at the additional protection fitted to the vehicle.
With 55 modified Cybertrucks gathered in one place, the X Takeover event certainly demonstrated how much owners can do with Tesla’s unusual electric pickup.
And judging by the sheer variety of builds on display, it seems some Cybertruck owners are only just getting started.
