A Tesla Cybertruck has gone toe-to-toe with a Lamborghini Aventador and Revuelto in a drag race and the winner is quite a surprise.

The Tesla Cybertruck isn’t necessarily known for its quarter-mile speed.

That is usually the Model S Plaid’s job.

But this time the Cybertruck has gone up against two Lambos, and if you thought it had no chance, well, you’d be wrong.

Tesla Cybertruck takes on Lamborghini Aventador and Revuelto in an intense drag race

Tesla versus Lamborghini is quickly becoming quite a clash of the titans as the Model S Plaid had a surprising finish against a 2,000-HP Lamborghini Huracán.

But the heavier Cybertruck is better known for its tug-of-war power rather than pure speed.

Could it beat a Lambo sports car though?

Well, the YouTube account Drag Times brought forth a Lamborghini Aventador and a Lamborghini Revuelto to test against the futuristic monster.

First, the two yellow Lambos went wheel to wheel to see which of the yellow bees zips along the racetrack quickest.

The new Lamborghini Revuelto is quite the beast, and it soon left its big sister behind in a rolling-start race, as the renowned Aventador couldn’t keep up once it clicked into third gear and flew ahead.

With the Lambos settled, up stepped the Tesla, and early predictions claimed that the Tesla might have held out at the quarter-mile mark given its impressive 0-60 speed, but a capped 130mph top speed would mean the Aventador would zip past to the half-mile mark.

Cybertruck vs Aventador

First up was the Aventador, the slower of the two Lamborghini cars.

The predictions ran true. The Tesla Cybertruck stormed into an early lead as the Lamborghini Aventador stuttered to click into second gear and grind on through, but as the Cyberbeast plateaued at 130, the sports car flew by to cross the line first.

Still, on a rolling-start drag, the Tesla would have won in a quarter-mile.

Cybertruck vs Revuelto

Up next was the Revuelto, and after obliterating the Aventador, the Tesla made for easy work.

Even without its launch mode, the Revuelto made up ground almost instantly, giving the Cybertruck a mere two seconds in the lead before scorching down the strip.

This was a race that favored the Cybertruck much less than the one against the Aventador, given that it was a dead start.

But, it’s clear that the pick-up is better for school runs rather than half-mile drag race sprints. Even in the stunning yellow strip.
