NFL icon Aaron Rodgers once saved his New York Jets teammate from having to spend $30k on a private jet to get immediate surgery, lending him his own wings.
Rodgers is widely considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, being a four-time MVP, a ring winner, and a tactical genius.
But as Bill Walsh would say, ‘Leadership is most effective when it’s your own personality.’
New York Jets star Jermaine Johnson has now revealed that Rodgers personifies that ethos, as he went above and beyond to get him the treatment that he needed after a brutal injury.

It’s no secret that quarterbacks make bank, and the celebrity earnings often go on supercars and aircraft.
Even at the freshman level, QBs are on the roads sporting Maybachs and giving back to their parents with expensive SUVs.
But the more experienced pig skin arm cannons are now moving like their Hail Marys – through the sky at great pace, like Tom Brady in his jets.
Aaron Rodgers’ private jet isn’t just for him, though, as the 20-year NFL icon flew his teammate Jermaine Johnson out for surgery on a torn right Achilles tendon.

Johnson and Rodgers were teammates on the latter’s short stint on the New York Jets, where it was said that he harboured a very close relationship with the team.
After Johnson’s injury against the Tennessee Titans in Week Two of the 2024 season, it was Rodgers who flew him out to surgery and never asked for a penny in return.
“I get to the plane and I go ‘hey, you never sent me anything,’ but he was like ‘Don’t worry about it. I got it. You take care of everything for everybody in your life. Now is your time to work on receiving help. Let me do this for you,” Johnson told Nexstar Media during a conference.
The trip would have cost Johnson $30k in fees on a private jet, but Rodgers insisted on helping instead.
“That’s a thing most people don’t know about him. Aaron is such a great guy man, he is only concerned about people in his corner and what they have to say about him.”

Aaron Rodgers will be starting for a third team in as many years this year after a transfer to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Despite knowing what he has in the skies, little is known about Rodgers’ car collections.
Maybe it secretly rivals that of Tom Brady…
