This abandoned Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership is like a time capsule

  • This old abandoned dealership opened in the 1940s
  • It closed  up for good in 2014
  • It’s not like a time capsule, packed with old stuff

Urban explorers discovered an abandoned Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership that had been closed for almost a decade.

The old dealership had opened its doors all the way back in the 1940s.

But back in 2014, the dealership closed for good and has been left abandoned ever since.

The time capsule dealership is still crammed with paperwork and office equipment.

The old Chevrolet and Cadillac dealership was still crammed with stuff

There are numerous old abandoned dealerships scattered across the globe, such as this one in Japan, a former Saab dealership in France that was still full of old vehicles, and this Peugeot showroom.

While some are still home to old cars – such as this AMC dealership in North Carolina – the Chevy dealership in this clip has had all its old vehicles removed.

But while its vehicles had been removed, urban explorers from the Urbax Vibes YouTube channel unearthed all sorts of old paperwork, including a pile of old checks, office equipment, an old Christmas tree, and even some Chevy car keys.

As you’d imagine, there’s also lots of marketing and advertising material showing off the various cars that would have been on offer.

The dealership has clearly seen better days, with old junk and rubbish lying around, while a small bathroom had broken tiles and peeling paint.

The dealership has been abandoned for almost a decade

Traveling further through the dealership, the pair discover some personal items, such as jackets and glasses, that seemingly belonged to old staff members.

The duo then headed out to the repair shop at the back, which, much like the rest of the dealership, is strewn with old junk and trash.

But unlike the rest of the dealership, nature has made its way into the auto shop and there are some decent-sized trees that have cropped up, and part of the roof has collapsed.

There’s also a bunch of old tools in a room at the back, as well as some larger bits of equipment used for fixing motors.

Looking through the old dealership is a bit like taking a step back in time, with everything left there as it was almost 10 years ago.
