Stunning Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren supercar has been in the same spot since 2011

There’s a sad story behind this abandoned Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

The car was seized in 2011, and it has been forgotten about and left to rust and rot in a field.

This is a rare and valuable car, and it’s a shame to watch it wither and die.

But, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the car can be saved.

Accidents, neglect, weather agents – the list goes on.

But nothing kills cars more efficiently than bureaucracy.

That’s what happened with this car, which was seized in 2011 and then left to rot due to the ongoing investigation.

It was last sighted years ago, in Czechia, and no one knows what happened to it.

The story behind the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

The SLR changed the way Mercedes and McLaren operated.

It was both the first and last supercar they built together, but it laid out the foundation for what came after.

After going their separate ways, Mercedes followed up on the SLR with the SLS AMG and the AMG GT.

McLaren did the same.

The British marque created its first road car since the F1, and they started a new division to do it.

After the McLaren 12C, initially called MP4-12C, they made a lot more, including the 720S, which is the one that cemented their name in the supercar world.

Even so, the SLR has always remained relevant, partly because of the way it looks, but also because of the sheer number of limited-edition models that have been created.

It’s a long list, and it includes the roofless, windowless SLR speedster created in honor of Stirling Moss.
