This abandoned Porsche Boxster was left for two years in a Texas field, but it needed more than a brave hand to save it.
Texas is filled with all sorts of pesky critters, and we’re not just talking about Rangers fans.
Rather unwanted, slithery, limbless reptiles that love to inhabit the weirdest places and strike fear into homeowners and drivers alike.
So when the owner of this abandoned Porsche Boxster revealed that a snake was living in it, the recovery team needed to make a big decision.

Abandoned Porsche Boxster in Texas
At face value, this abandoned Porsche Boxster is just like any other sports car that has been left to nature for one reason or another.
It’s often the case for these types of cars.
They can often rack up expensive repair costs and rather than save for the fix, they get cast into a field to be revisited ‘one day’.
Which is to say, never.
This particular car was left in the wilderness for two years, as he ‘just didn’t drive it much anymore.’
However, after a recent storm caused a small dent and a cracked windshield, the Texas man placed the car on Facebook Marketplace.
YouTube car recovery team RESTORED then snapped up the chance to get the Porsche Boxter out of its overgrown habitat.
But they were warned about its new tenant.
Snaaaaakes!
Maybe it’s the warmth, but snakes really seem to enjoy car rides, getting underneath the hood, and making themselves at home in the engine space.
This time, the Texas recovery crew needed their big boy pants on to recover the Porsche Boxster.
The owner claimed it was a rat snake, several feet long and three inches in diameter.
An early inspection of the car revealed that the snake definitely had been living there, with shed skin being visible, although it couldn’t be seen.
With the elusive snake not being seen, the team tentatively reached under the car to attach chains to tow it out, audibly praying that they didn’t get bitten.
Thankfully, the car was towed out without a snakebite, although there’s no knowing if the reptile was still in there as it was placed on the trailer.
Unfortunately, the YouTube documentary installment ended without a thorough search, and the whereabouts of this basilisk remains unknown.
Still, it’s a happy ending for the abandoned Porsche Boxster, which now gets a second life.
