The Abu Dhabi prince’s superyacht – known as the Opera superyacht – just turned Albania’s busiest port into a royal backdrop.

Stretching 479ft, the $450 million vessel rolled into the Port of Durrës for a refueling stop and left the harbor looking like a scale model.

Cargo cranes, shipping containers, and warehouses were completely dwarfed, as the yacht’s sheer size and profile stole the show.

Even its refueling was next level – around 320,000L of diesel is needed to keep this floating palace moving.

The Abu Dhabi prince’s superyacht turned an industrial port into a royal stage

Massive just doesn’t cut it when describing this vessel – the Abu Dhabi prince’s superyacht is nothing short of majestic.

And this Lürssen-built masterpiece comfortably hosts 48 guests and 40 crew.

It’s owned by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan – a member of the royal family of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as the UAE Foreign Minister.

The ship boasts two helipads and two pools – including one with a rising floor – and enough luxury to rival a five-star resort.

And it’s not the only jaw-dropping vessel with royal ties. Check out this similar $450 million superyacht that comes complete with a cryo-chamber.

But it was the setting that made this Opera superyacht moment go viral.

The Port of Durrës is no tropical yacht club – it’s usually a heaving industrial hub where container ships and freight dominate the skyline.

Until now.

Opera’s arrival shrank everything around it, making cranes and buildings appear tiny in its shadow.

The Opera superyacht has left Albania and is now moored in Venice

After leaving Albania, the Opera superyacht sailed north and is now docked in Venice.

Despite its size and grandeur, the Opera remains largely cloaked in mystery. While we can only assume the inside of the yacht is just as impressive, royal vessels remain notoriously private.

With a presence that dominates both sea and skyline, the Opera superyacht proves that subtlety isn’t always the goal… scale is.

And for Sheikh Abdullah, this isn’t a show of wealth. It’s a spectacularly in-your-face celebration of it.
