Anyone with a fear of flying, look away now. In this video by Aero Life, the world’s biggest passenger jet, the Airbus A380, tips into a turn so steep that from the ground it looked less like a demo and more like a close call.

The Farnborough Airshow crowd got the full heart-in-mouth moment as the aircraft banked, hanging almost on its side before easing back with control.

And YouTube viewers felt it too, with one saying ‘that could be over 380 tonnes swinging around up there. Best keep clear.’

That’s the thrill – and the terror – of seeing an A380 pushed to its limits. A jet built for champagne service and quiet long-hauls suddenly performing like a stunt plane, making the seemingly impossible look effortless.
