When a car needs new tires, there are tell-tale signs, according to this Alabama dealership
We get it, owning a car has a huge price tag attached even before you hit the road, such as insurance.
But, when you’re behind the wheel, extra costs to keep the car properly maintained also occur.
When discussing when it’s time to get new tires, one Ford dealership shared the cheeky way to find out if your tires need replacing.
In a video shared to Instagram by AlabamaFord, a salesman was captured behind the desk before it panned around to three men with the question:
“Do you really think I need new tires?”

Then, in a cheeky and playful turn of events, the camera switches to three men standing side by side with the caption:
“The tires.”
But, what do three men all have in common, you ask?
Well, they are all, in fact, bald, which means that your car needs new tires when the current ones look like those men’s heads.
The cheeky play on the question amused people online, but still left an informed response to a common misconception among drivers
“Bald,” someone stated.
“The reel I have been waiting on,” said another.
Why is keeping tires in top shape so important?
When it comes to hitting the road, tires are truly the component that gets you from A to B safely.
They need to be in mint condition to keep the car stable and for the road to be navigated safely.
“Poor tire maintenance can lead to premature tire wear, a flat tire or even a blowout,” explained AAA Exchange.
But other factors can also affect tires too such as suspension and even the alignment of the wheels, so it’s crucial that they are checked regularly.
To help address factors that cause tire failure, brands Bridgestone and Michelin are testing tires that never puncture.
Plus, we bet you didn’t know that the most expensive tires in the world have diamonds and gold in them and are from Dubai.
Well, there we go – if your tires are indeed bald, there is a high chance that they need to be replaced. But don’t just take our word for it, listen to Ford Alabama, below.
