Watch the incredibly awkward moment Supercar Blondie tells her family she is in Playboy

Alex Hirschi – AKA Supercar Blondie – has a spread in Playboy magazine.

The automotive content creator said she didn’t make the decision lightly when she was approached by the gentlemen’s magazine. 

But she did ultimately accept, revealing there was an important reason she agreed to be featured. 

Hirschi took her followers along for the ride when she revealed the news to her mom and dad, and it’s an awkward watch, to say the least.

Supercar Blondie features in Playboy magazine

Hirschi got a copy of the Playboy Germany magazine sent to her while visiting family back home in Queensland, Australia.

Speaking to the camera, she said: “You guys are going to come on this journey with me as I reveal to my family that I’m in Playboy magazine,

“Now you might be thinking ‘OMG what have you done, why have you done this’. 

“But there’s a twist and I want you to be in on it before I reveal it to my family.”

Hirschi said Playboy Germany had a big automotive section in the magazine and they wanted to feature her in an article. 

“They said ‘we don’t want you to get your kit off’,” she said. 

“And instead of saying no to this, I thought I could actually make a statement by doing this.” 

So, the two-page spread was an article and didn’t involve Hirschi taking her clothes off. 

But her family didn’t know this, and the prank made for some incredibly uncomfortable viewing. 

Pranking her family

“Actually, I’m really scared. This is not something I like to do because my family’s quite conservative and wouldn’t approve of this,” she said. 

“I’m just going to say ‘I’m in Playboy’ and let it stew for a while. 

“And for those few seconds, in their mind, especially in my mom’s mind, [they’ll be thinking] ‘my daughter’s a porn star’. 

“It’s going to be terrifying.” 

When she delivered the news, Hirschi got exactly the reaction she was expecting. 

Why she agreed to be featured

Hirschi, who just got access to an ‘invisible’ BMW, said she had a good reason for agreeing to be in the magazine. 

“I thought it would be powerful to be in Playboy magazine with all my clothes on because it shows women that you can be sexy, powerful, and successful with your clothes on,” she said. 

“You don’t need to take your clothes off to get attention and make it in the world. 

“That’s something I really do stand for, especially in this industry, this very male-dominated industry.”
