Alpine's new A110 EV has been teased with a Concorde-inspired sculpture at the 2026 Paris Motor Show

Alpine just unveiled a new sculpture to showcase the upcoming A110 at the Paris Motor Show, and it has Concorde written all over it.

Despite being a little abstract, the sculpture faithfully previews both the shape and the proportions of the upcoming car.

Which, by the way, will be electric.

And the power-to-weight ratio will be pretty good.

They’re really hammering the point home, aren’t they?

Alpine and its parent company Renault are doing their absolute best to remind everyone that they’re French.

Most brands do this – one way or the other – but these two brands are trying hard, especially with aviation-related ideas.

The Renault Rafale, for example, is a relatively modest mid-size SUV named after a 1930s monoplane and, probably not by coincidence, the Dassault Rafale, which is a fighter jet.

The list goes on, from the omnipresent French tricolor to the Renault 5’s optional baguette holder.

And no, we’re not joking. It really exists.

And, on this occasion, they took it one step further by leveraging the most iconic plane in history, Concorde.

This is a new course for the French automaker

Revived nearly 10 years ago as Renault’s performance division, Alpine will now become the automaker’s premium EV branch.

The new A110 will sit on the dedicated Performance Platform – called APP – and to maintain the ultra-low sports car seating position and overall height without raising the floor, the manufacturer split the battery into two separate modules.

One is located at the front, and the other one is at the back.

This configuration also helps achieve a sports-car-ideal 40:60 weight distribution.

We’re not sure what the automaker wants to do when it comes to the power output, but rumor has it the car will develop around 300-500 horsepower.

Not bad for a car that ‘only’ weighs 1,500 kilograms, which is pretty good for an electric car.

At this year’s Paris Motor Show, Alpine revealed a full-scale sculpture that previews the design of the upcoming all-electric A110.

The sculpture reveals the overall shape and proportions of the Alpine A110 and, as you can see, the side profile and muscular sculpting of the car draw direct inspiration from the supersonic Concorde airliner.

Full production details and the unmasked vehicle weren’t revealed at the Paris Motor Show, but we can expect to learn more in 2027, with sales expected to begin in early 2028.

Sadly, the Concorde-inspired sculpture probably won’t be available for sale.
