American YouTuber Vasily Builds was struggling to fix what he said was the most powerful two-stroke jet boat DIY project, but as it turned out, Temu would come to his rescue when it came to spare parts.

Vasily is a young fabricator who loves to just go fast, and that’s the whole ethos behind his current project, which he described as the ‘biggest emotional rollercoaster.’

Costing thousands of dollars and taking over five years, Vasily was ready to give up on it.

Yet amazingly, after finding some parts on Temu, he was able to fix his boat for less than $40.

This is what was wrong with the two-stroke jet boat

Vasily had spent five years trying to get his boat running properly.

One of the biggest problems was the carburetors, which proved to be horrendously unreliable.

This had left him scratching his head and confused as to what he could do next.

That is when the idea of Temu parts came in.

In total, the Temu parts came to $38, a huge saving in money.

Having spent five years trying to get it to run well, it is little wonder Vasily turned to Temu.

These carburetors were actually made for a Banshee motorcycle.

To assist with fitting them, custom CNC intake parts were also installed.

Plus, Vasily upgraded the float bowls to prevent fuel starvation to the engine.

A custom billet airbox and lightweight lithium-ion battery were the two final modifications.

The question was, though, would it run with the Temu parts?

This is how the boat performed with Temu parts

The two-stroke jet boat performed better than expected with its new parts.

“Let’s see if it has spark,” said Vasily as he tried to fire up the engine.

Incredibly, the Temu parts had appeared to be the salvation of the jet boat.

The saving of weight from the battery was an unexpected bonus.

“The old 26R battery weighed 27lbs,” said Vasily.

“Whereas this only weighs 9lbs,” he added.

Who knew that shedding weight could be so much fun?

Later in the video, the YouTuber did take the two-stroke jet boat out onto the water.

It was fast, and it ‘ripped’ in the words of Vasily.

While there were more tweaks to come, he was clearly over the moon at finally being able to run it.

Being able to top out at 45mph was the icing on the cake.
