This man from the US state of New Hampshire shut down his auto-repair business and bought a neglected 70-foot luxury yacht in an ‘outrageous purchase.’
Three years ago, Gus Eisen decided to shut down his auto repair business that he started when he got out of college.
He wanted to pursue his dream of buying a boat and taking it south to warmer weather.
Now, he is buying a 70-foot luxury yacht that needs a ton of work.

Buying a neglected 70-foot luxury yacht
This isn’t the first yacht Eisen has bought, as before this, he owned two different boats in which he traveled the world.
He also posted videos of his adventures on his YouTube Channel.
His latest project involves buying a neglected 70-foot luxury yacht and fixing it.
This project reminds us of the time when a couple found a 78-foot superyacht abandoned and rotting in Alaska and bought it to become their family home.
Eisen also planned to restore the yacht and travel to some more places with his new sea vessel.
However, his work was cut out for him as the yacht had quite a few issues.
In the video, Eisen gave a tour of the yacht and we can see quite a few areas that needed work.
Fortunately, he also had his friend Josh to help with the repairs.
Restoring a boat is not an easy task and can sometimes take years to finish.
However, most of the damage on the yacht was cosmetic and could be fixed relatively easily.
After fixing all the leaks, the system checks, and repairing engines and plumbing — the yacht was ready for a sea trial.
Eisen took the yacht out for a spin around the dock and was happy with how it went.
