Artist designs an apocalypse-proof Ford Raptor with a huge V8 engine sticking out of the hood

  • It looks like something straight out of a Resident Evil movie
  • But it also comes with a catch

An artist designed this apocalypse-proof Ford Raptor concept car that features a huge V8 sticking out of its hood.

It would be a perfect ride for those ‘doomsday preppers’ or just for someone who wants a powerful pickup truck to drive on off-road terrain.

One of the coolest aspects of this design is the massive V8 engine sticking out of the hood, which might be a little impractical, but – hey – who cares?

Ford Raptor concept car

This Ford F-150 Raptor concept car came from the mind of Alberto Luque Marta back in 2017.

It certainly looks like it could give the Tesla Cybertruck a run for its money in terms of being an apocalypse-proof truck.

However, one of its coolest aspects is also one of its biggest downfalls, as mounting an engine like this is highly impractical.

It would not only block the view from the windshield but also impact the pickup truck’s off-roading capabilities.

Since there is no snorkel on the V8 engine it can’t go for any kind of deep water crossing.

An upgraded Ford F-150 Raptor

Other than that, the Ford Raptor concept car also features various modifications like impressive off-road wheels and tires.

It also comes with an aggressive front end with a black bull bar, winch, and scuff plate.

There’s also a large cage mounted on top of the car, supporting four spotlights for any late-night adventures.

The original Ford F-150 Raptor is nothing to scoff at either.

If you don’t believe it, watch this video of the F-150 pickup truck climbing a steep hill.

Additionally, the pickup truck is set to be even stronger, as the 2024 model is confirmed to produce over 700 horsepower.

Americans certainly love a good pickup truck, and the Ford Raptor is an ideal vehicle.

This concept car design showcases what the pickup truck could look like with just a few aftermarket components.

Whether it would be as good as the original, perhaps we’ll never know.
