Aston Martin unveils its first ever street-legal motorcycle called the AMB 002 Roadster and the engineering will blow you away

Aston Martin has unveiled its first street-legal motorcycle – the AMB 002 Roadster – and it’s got some seriously impressive engineering.
Made as a collaboration between Aston Martin and Brough Superior, the AMB 002 follows in the tire marks of the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro superbikes.
Only 300 motorcycles will be made in total, but this is most definitely a case of quality over quantity.
Why this Aston Martin motorcycle is so special
If you cast your mind back to the AMB 001 and the AMB 001 Pro, you’ll recall what mechanical marvels they were.
The Pro alone had a laundry list of impressive stats attached to it.
It was capable of accelerating to 60mph in about 2 seconds, and delivered 225hp from its 997 cc engine.
Looking as if it had been designed by aliens, there was no questioning the ingenuity that went into making this bike a reality.
And based on sneak peeks of the AMB 002, it’s crystal clear that nobody on the design team at Aston Martin has been resting on their laurels.
This will be the first road-legal bike to come out of the collaborative efforts of Aston Martin and Brough Superior.
The beating heart of this beast is a 1,083cc water-cooled V-twin engine producing 130hp and 110nm of torque.
Weighing at at 419Ibs, the 002 is made up of carbon-fiber bodywork and a lightweight titanium structural frame.
Design touches from Brough Superior – such as the double-wishbone Fior front suspension – also make themselves known.
Despite being a motorcycle, some touches from Aston Martin’s supercar lineup are evident through the design.
For example, the twin oval exhausts features ribbed heat sinks which bear some resemblance to the exhaust finisher designs found on the Vanquish and the DBX S.
There’s also some similarities between the rear light blades of the AMB 002 and those found on the tails of the Vulcan, Valkyrie, and the Valhalla.
This is an Aston Martin through and through.
“Having created two of the most remarkable track-only motorcycles ever built in the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, it was always a long-term dream to make an Aston Martin motorcycle for the road,” Marek Reichman, the Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice President of Aston Martin, said.
“Combining the bold design aesthetic and pioneering engineering innovation which define Aston Martin and Brough Superior’s work to-date, the AMB 002 is the vivid expression of our shared passion for sculptural, visceral, covetable machines.
“It promises an ownership and riding experience unique in the world of motorcycling; an irresistible road bike for keen motorcyclists and discerning collectors alike.”
When can we expect to see the AMB 002 on our roads?
Only 300 of these bikes will be created in Toulouse, with first deliveries expected to begin in the third quarter of 2027.
While prices haven’t been confirmed as of yet, we can imagine that it’ll cost you a pretty penny.
