This Atlanta attorney blends his time between law and aviation, as he works on building and flying planes.
To his clients, Bryce Angell is known as an award-winning injury attorney who has dedicated his law career to helping those injured by the negligence of others.
But to his 260k TikTok followers, he’s a high-flying plane enthusiast.
Since he acquired the company Top Rudder Aircraft back in 2024, a lot has changed.

It’s one thing to be able to fly a plane, but knowing how to build one too?
That’s super impressive.
We’ve seen plenty of flying enthusiasts try their hand at fixing up an aircraft before.
YouTuber Jimmy’s World is just one of the prominent examples, as he has worked on planes like the Piper PA-23 and the 1947 Cessna.
Another YouTube channel took it upon themselves to disassemble and rebuild a Cessna 150.

But have any of these plane pros been a lawyer before?
Bryce Angell is a lawyer based in Atlanta, Georgia, known for his love of aviation.
His interest began when he earned a pilot’s license during his senior year of high school, AVBuyer reported.
After setting up his law firm, he acquired a Cirrus SR22 and later upgraded to a Cirrus Vision Jet.
It was the latter plane he credited with helping maintain a healthy work-life balance.
But in addition to flying planes as part of his commute, Angell has also acquired Top Rudder Aircraft.

The Ruckus plane is just one of their most recent projects, built for people who would otherwise not be able to afford a plane.
“We were promised inexpensive airplanes […] but that never happened,” Angell once told KitPlanes.
“So when I saw what designer Troy Woodland had been working on – what would later become the Ruckus – I decided to buy the design and bring it to market.”
At some point in the future, the Ruckus may be available as a build-at-home kit.

But for the time being, interested parties will have to head to Top Rudder Aircraft’s factory in South Carolina.
It’s approximately a six-month wait between deposit and the start of the build.
And it’ll cost around $40,000 in total – a bargain if you ask us.
