This 1966 relic of a Pontiac Ventura spent 32 years hidden from daylight, but now it’s up for auction for one lucky buyer.
The Ventura has been in a protected place for the last three decades, and its condition is a testament to that fact.
From a clean title to a well-kept interior, the car could be a gearhead’s ticket to owning a piece of American auto history.
But, as with any car, there are some aspects of the old vehicle that will need some work.

This Pontiac Ventura from 1966 spent over three decades in a heated garage
Pontiac is a brand that gearheads are keen to snap up.
But, rather than being unearthed from a barn, it turns out that this Pontiac Ventura has been sitting in a heated garage for the last 32 years.

The relic has just 65,000 miles on the clock and supposedly ‘cranks good’ according to the listing.
Thanks to its storage situation, the car has suffered only limited rusting on its gleaming shell.
“Very small rust bubbles on the lower quarter on the driver side,” said the eBay seller.
However, despite the rusting, the car’s interior is in good condition, with a clean title in tow, too. Plus, it has only had one owner since 1985.

But, it should be noted that the car has ‘no spark’ and before it can be used, the gas tank will need to be flushed.
The Ventura’s carburetor has also been rebuilt, too, so it’s really not all bad despite the model not being one of Pontiac’s dominating names.
The Ventura reportedly has a custom trim option that was available on the Catalina, too.
In other words, it’s a touch of luxury without a high price tag.
“The Ventura was first introduced for 1960 as a new higher priced model on Pontiac’s standard full-size 122-inch B-body wheelbase, shared with the Pontiac Catalina,” stated The Crittenden Automotive Library.

The Pontiac was also reportedly available as a ‘Vista sedan’ with four doors and also as a two-door hardtop.
The pearl white car is up for auction on eBay for $13,500.00 or the best offer, with the seller, dasobk78 set to end the auction on October 30, 2025.
Pontiacs are being uncovered and the cars are time capsules
As time has moved on, many muscle cars and sports cars have started to be unearthed from hidden places, with many in surprisingly good condition.
In fact, one 1970 Pontiac Firebird Espirit had just one owner and, with 16,000 miles on the cloc,k is a gem, alongside having every paper from when it was sold, too.
Plus, we bet you didn’t know that Pontiac even built the world’s first transparent car in 1939 – and it’s clearly still awesome.
