Barbie once sat in this 1970 Cadillac DeVille convertible and now it could be yours

This 1970 Cadillac Deville convertible was custom-built by Disney and was even used at Walt Disney World, but now it’s up for auction with no reserve.

Disney’s Barbie parade car is part of a seven-day auction that is set to take place online, and it could be yours if you have an eBay account.

But, the bright bubblegum pink car that you see now was once painted white and was used in parades by characters, including Cruella de Vil, until it had a pink overhaul for Barbie.

But Barbie wasn’t the only Diva riding in style in the Cadillac; Miss Piggy also got to ride up front, too.

The convertible was used by Walt Disney World in Orlando from 1990 to 1998.

“Unlike many display vehicles whose backstories rely on hearsay or speculation, this car’s exceptional history is fully supported by official documents, including: Original Florida registration listing Walt Disney World as the owner, with matching VIN,” stated the listing.

Other documents also include email verification from a producer of the 1988 Galaxie Palace event, as well as a temporary vehicle pass, and even a picture of the cast and crew from behind the scenes.

Disney’s Barbie parade car is being sold by the Volo Museum and is the only real Barbie car that is known.

So, it really is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own this piece of memorabilia.

Cadillac cars play a key part in American car history not just Disney’s Barbie parade

Cadillac cars are a pillar of American car history.

The car company was founded in 1902 and after establishing itself in the car sphere, catapulted into a symbol of luxury and success, and became a favorite amongst movie stars and celebrities to snap up.

But Barbie’s Cadillac isn’t the only famous ride that has recently been offered to a new owner.

A 1970 Cadillac ‘Guitar Car’ that was built for none other than Elvis Presley was also up for sale on eBay, ready for one lucky gearhead to get their hands on.

But, Disney’s Barbie parade car, the Cadillac De Ville, was even known as ‘one of the longest-running car marques in the history of General Motors’, according to G R Auto Gallery.

So, it really is a dream for Disney-obsessed gearheads.

You can take a look at the listing through the Volo Museum here, with the auction taking place online during August.
