A Deadpool 2 movie car is roaring back into the spotlight, and the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake is not your typical Hollywood prop.
It is one of the few performance icons to earn its screen time alongside Ryan Reynolds’ wisecracking antihero.
With only about 4,000 miles on the clock, this collectible Mustang is heading to Mecum Auctions in Dallas later this month.
But brace yourself, because it won’t be cheap.

This 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake featured in two movies
Registered as Lot S242, the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake is part of the Tom Katinic Collection and boasts a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 producing a monstrous 850 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

That’s enough power to make even Deadpool look twice.
This specific car famously appeared in Deadpool 2, notably during the explosive convoy chase scene that introduced Cable (played by Josh Brolin).
However, the car also showed up in The Interview (2014), making it one of the rare Mustangs to enjoy not one, but two big-screen roles.

Bidding will easily hit six-figures
Its cinematic résumé gives it a unique edge at auction, but the Super Snake’s real allure lies in its performance pedigree.
Born from the fifth-generation GT500, the Super Snake package took the standard car’s already-potent 550 hp and cranked it into the stratosphere.

The upgrades included a larger supercharger, bespoke suspension tuning, upgraded brakes, and distinct visual cues.
Collectors and enthusiasts alike are expected to swarm Mecum’s Dallas event, drawn by both the car’s Hollywood credentials and its raw performance.
Movie cars can be unpredictable in value, but this one ticks every box: genuine Shelby documentation, verified on-screen history, and low mileage.

Expect bidding to easily hit six-figures easily, and it won’t be that surprising if it goes beyond that.
The timing couldn’t be better, either.
With the recently revealed 2026 Shelby Super Snake-R continuing Carroll Shelby’s high-octane legacy, interest in earlier models is heating up again.
If you want to have your very own 850-horsepower, movie-star Mustang, you can view the listing here.
