Here’s something you don’t see every day – a car that looks like a Porsche, but actually isn’t a Porsche, and is, in fact, the Ruf CTR Anniversary version that’s currently up for auction at Sotheby’s.
It sounds weird – but that is exactly what has happened in this case.
This 710bhp monster has been released – and to the naked eye, it looks exactly like a Porsche.
But this is a car that is even more thrilling – and expensive, too.

Porsche-inspired marque creates a beauty
Ruf is a name that will likely be very familiar to hardcore fans of the Porsche brand.
The German brand is most famous and well-known for its unique takes on Porsche models.
And it has managed to do that once again – and this example is a true monster.
The RUF CTR Anniversary represents a legendary milestone for the Porsche-inspired firm.
It has been released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the German brand.

The CTR Anniversary is being released with just a 50-unit production run – and one is coming up for sale.
This example, number 25 of 50, is expected to fetch a dizzying sum at auction with Sotheby’s.
It is expected, in fact, to fetch anywhere between $2.8 and $3.4 million at Monterey Car Week.
If you happen to be wondering what powers the heart of this beauty – well, you’re in luck.
This Ruf CTR Anniversary is a one-of-a-kind
Because Ruf has provided a massive boost to the 3.6-liter, twin-turbo flat-six engine.
Ruf has tuned the Porsche engine to produce a ridiculous 710hp.
This means that the Ruf CTR Anniversary now completes 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds.
A top speed of well over 200mph puts this Ruf CTR Anniversary among some truly elite supercar company.
This particular example – model no. 25 – is special for a couple of reasons.

For one thing, it comes with less than 200 miles on the clock, making it pretty much entirely brand-new.
Another thing that sets this Porsche-inspired Ruf apart from the rest is the color.
It comes with an extremely rare Riviera Blue paint job – one that is sure to make it highly desirable at auction.
Keep an eye out for this CTR Anniversary when it hits the auction block.
