Man bags a 662-mile Corvette Z06 Coupe out of Florida for such a steal it's being called a 'heist'

A lightly used Corvette Z06 with barely 662 miles on the clock just changed hands for a price that has enthusiasts doing a double take.

For a car this new and this heavily optioned, the final hammer price feels almost unreal.

Many are already calling it less of a purchase and more akin to an Ocean’s 11 heist.

While it may seem like an exaggeration, you need to look at the car itself to understand why.

It looks as good as new

The car in question is a 2023 Corvette Z06 Coupe in top-spec 3LZ Z07 trim, originally priced at a staggering $171,870.

Somehow, it recently sold for just $128,000 at auction, effectively handing the buyer a discount of around $44,000 before fees.

Considering the car has only 662 miles on the odometer, it is about as close to brand new as you can get without ordering one yourself.

Finished in Hypersonic Gray Metallic, the Z06 looks every bit as aggressive as it performs.

The optional Visible Carbon Fiber Aero package adds a dramatic rear wing, dive planes, and ground effects, giving the car serious track presence.

Carbon fiber continues across the roof panel, grille insert, and even the mirror caps.

Meanwhile, the $11,995 carbon fiber wheels are wrapped in ultra-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires.

While the Z06 undoubtedly looks awesome, performance is where it truly shines.

At its heart is a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 V8, a masterpiece of engineering with a flat-plane crankshaft.

It produces 670hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever fitted to a production car.

Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels, delivering a driving experience that is both raw and razor-sharp.

The Corvette isn’t just fast in a straight line

It features track-focused suspension tuning and massive Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, ensuring it can handle corners and repeated hard stops with ease.

The front-axle lift system also makes it far more usable in the real world, helping drivers clear speed bumps and steep driveways without drama.

Inside, the cabin blends performance and comfort.

GT2 bucket seats, trimmed in leather and accented with yellow stitching, are both heated and ventilated.

A carbon fiber and suede steering wheel, head-up display, and a 14-speaker Bose sound system round out a surprisingly luxurious interior for such a hardcore machine.

In today’s inflated used car market, this sale feels like a rare win, and it was almost as good as winning the car for free.

On the auction website, people couldn’t agree more.

Many Corvette owners congratulated the winner, sharing their own positive experiences with their cars.

“Yes, as the recent owner of a comparable Corvette. What an incredible car to drive!” said one commenter.

But one statement probably sums up what most people were thinking: “That was a STEAL! Why didn’t I keep bidding?”
